På CIENS Toppsenter-opninga var representantane frå Forskningsrådet svært nøgde med gode midtvegsevalueringar for FME-ane. Evalueringa ligg ute på heimesidene til Forskningsrådet, og for Institutt for geofag er det særleg omtalen av FME-SUCCESS som er aktuell, instituttet har ein sentral plass her, med ein hovudnode og Per Aagaard som ein av to vitskaplege leiarar i senteret. Omtalen er svært positiv, eg klypper frå avsnittet om fagleg aktivitet:
The Centre has successfully and in a laudably short time gathered the competence and critical size required to conduct the research work needed to achieve the main objectives and associated subobjective. The results disseminated through scientific publications and international conferences show that the overall quality of the research performed by the Centre is excellent and of high international calibre. The team has been able to focus on the main knowledge gaps related to geological storage of CO2 and take advantage of the existence of Norwegian pilot and demonstration storage projects.
